Would I go back? ..... yes, definitely. The food was good. They aren't trying to reinvent the wheel here. Their menu is full of the standards, and It appears they do them well. I had a combination plate with a shredded beef crunchy taco, and a chicken enchilada. Both were tasty, and the rice and beans were spot on. Good service. Attentive and quick without hovering. I was there for lunch, and there were several tables occupied which is always good sign, but there was a few vacant tables so I was able to sit immediately.

We sat on the patio - great area, temperature was mild, and the tables and chairs were beautiful adding to the ambiance. We were late arriving - it closes at 9 and we arrived about 8:30. The staff were welcoming and didn't rush us. We were served chips and salsa quickly. We ordered a margarita and a Pacifico (beers are bottled). Smooth margarita served on the rocks in a 12 oz or 16 oz glass, not overloaded with ice and great flavor and iced cold beer. Our food was delicious. The elote was street corn style with a generous coating of cheese & spices & a hint of lime. The coctel de camarón had a a nice spice - but not too much. It had fresh chopped avocado, onion, tomato, and cucumber as well to add to the flavor. The tostada tapatia was the perfect portion and light. There was not a heavy sauce on it - it had a very delicate consistency. The side of rice had a great flavor - tasted perfectly homemade, texture was soft, not mushy.

Excellent atmosphere, great service and delicious food. The carne en su jugo was found in the soup section of the menu. It is a regional dish from the State of Jalisco, and not commonly found in most Mexican restaurants. It was served with tortillas. It was so huge, I only was able to eat half of it. I also recommend the appetizer of chile guero, which is essentially an open chile relleno using a guero pepper. I really enjoyed a dinner here with friends. The background music did not dominate, so we were able to have a good conversation. Highly recommended.

A very neighborhood joint located in a strip mall. Some great food, served in a nice place. It was relatively busy too given the time we were there and that the mostly older crowd in PD tends to eat on the early side. Our waiter was really grumpy, acted disinterested and the service was from him was off the mark. I noticed it wasn't just us he was not happy serving, maybe just having a bad night. But that wasn't going to spoil the whole thing for us. And the waitress serving the table next to us helped us out, refilling our water glasses and getting the check. I'd totally go back next time I'm in the desert.

Excellent from start to finish. We came for the good reviews and fair prices - and we were not disappointed. My husband and I each ordered 3 item combinations with a tostada, sope & enchilada. All 3 items were fantastic and fairly portioned. My mom ordered the fish tacos and reported that they may be the best she'd ever had (and she's tried quite a lot!).

Moving here from L.A., I thought it might be a challenge to find chicken tacos that measured up to the quality I was used to. I looked at reviews for other places but the flavors just didn't cut it. While waiting for my car to be washed I walked over to Flor De Jalisco to kill some time, not expecting much but was I ever surprised! The chicken tacos were the BOMB! The slivers of avocado and the sprinkled cheese were such a great touch and was exactly what I was looking for. They have an outdoor patio dining area which I love in the cooler months. I've made friends with groups at other tables who have invited me over to share margaritas! The staff here are so awesome, very personable and they always remember me. If ever I'm feeling yucky with a cold my husband knows the way to get me to feel better is to pick up some chicken tacos from Flor De Jalisco. Such a gem!

This place is always busy! Went in for dinner on a Saturday night luckily we got a table. Service is a little slow, but granted there's only two servers for the entire restaurant. I had a Carne Asada taco and Al pastor a la cart. They were OK. I probably wouldn't get them again. I also had the elote Loco which tasted like it was missing something. My husband's mole enchiladas were very delicious! And the double Chavela was perfect!

Got to try Flor De Jalisco for the first time today. We went for lunch, arrived a few minutes before Noon. Apparently, they open at 1130 AM. Average decor, part of a strip mall. Tables and chairs were fine. My one concern was the AC. It was 110 degrees today in Palm Desert and rising. Wish it were cooler inside. Someone should have turned on the AC earlier and cranked it up. SKINNY MARGARITA $12. Decent Margarita, nice fresh lime taste came through. It was a 4.5-star Margarita. I've had better; however, this was a good drink for a brutally hot day. Taco Salad Spicy blend of ground beef. Served in a large fried flour tortilla bowl with shredded lettuce, with black or pinto beans. Topped with avocado, tomato and Mexican cream. $14.99 Delicious taco salad. The meat was cooked perfectly. The shell was fresh, light and crisp. All of the ingredients were fresh and of superior quality. Even the avocado slices were perfect. Service was very good. Our waitress was kind and attentive. My only criticism was the AC. Next time I will come here later in the day and/or for dinner. Good AC is a must in the Desert.
